ABOUT THE ROLE

CRIF Vietnam is seeking a Senior Researcher to lead research initiatives across credit risk, economic analysis, and business information domains. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality research publications, developing sector insights, and delivering customized research services to support both internal stakeholders and external clients. The Senior Researcher will play a key role in establishing CRIF's thought leadership position in the Vietnamese market while contributing to the company's business development and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Publications (50%)

  • Lead research projects on credit risk trends, economic forecasts, industry outlooks, and corporate sector developments in Vietnam and the region
  • Produce research reports, white papers, and market commentaries for publication and client distribution
  • Monitor and analyze key economic indicators, business environment changes, and credit market developments
  • Develop and continuously improve research methodologies and frameworks to maintain high-quality standards
  • Present research findings at industry events, client meetings, and internal training sessions

Sector Insights & Analysis (30%)

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of key Vietnamese industries including banking, manufacturing, real estate, retail, and emerging sectors
  • Track macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and their impact on corporate credit quality and business performance
  • Build and maintain a network of industry experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to gather market intelligence
  • Provide expert insights to support business development efforts and client advisory services

Customized Research Services (20%)

  • Design and deliver customized research projects based on specific client requirements, particularly for banks and financial institutions
  • Collaborate with Sales and Analytics teams to understand client needs and translate them into actionable research deliverables
  • Support the development of new service offerings by providing research-based insights and methodological frameworks
  • Respond to ad hoc research requests from internal teams and external clients with high-quality analysis
ABOUT YOU

Requirements

Education

  • Master's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualifications are highly valued

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis, financial research, credit ratings, or economic research
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality research publications or analytical reports
  • Experience working with financial institutions, consulting firms, rating agencies, or research organizations
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese business environment, corporate sector, and banking industry is essential

Skills

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize complex information
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools
  • Understanding of financial statement analysis and economic forecasting
